But I do think he’s a functional player and and can provide you starting quarterback play for cheap on that rookie contract and maybe buy you time to see if a mitch trubisky can develop or take a third round dart throw one of these years on a higher upside guy whether it’s like a malik willis or something like that down the road that type of deal but for now I think kenny pickett was a solid move I actually liked the draft pick a lot more than a lot of people and again I think he does win this job so his evaluation was interesting but also fairly simplei think he kind of is what he is I think when you want to talk about a quarterback being able to play from the pocket get through his progressions operate the the rhythm and timing of the offense he’s able to do that with pretty good processing with pretty good accuracy from the pocket and it should only get better in time the one thing with kenny pickett though that really bothers you is after about two two and a half seconds he’s gonna run he is not a full on first read quarterback because you’ll see him get that head around to his second read and get through his progressions but he does have a clock in the back of his head where he’s like. Um I don’t think it would be a We never too old for Disney shirt disappointment if they ended up as the twoseater the threeseat if they still won the division necessarily because I think it’s really tight in the afc and like they may win 12 games and it just might be a tiebreaker thing or they may win 11 games with a tiebreaker thingso but to me looking at this schedule if they don’t win more games than they did last year 10 and 7 if they don’t get to 11 12 that would be disappointing regardless of the division actually I think that would be disappointing because I think they need to be winning 11 for the first time what since 2015. But this one feels different because there’s not a lot of expectations that are from the national media in previous years but this year a lot of people are expecting big things and that’s where it gets a little tricky because that means that there’s some there’s some expectations that if they don’t get to them that it’s gonna be a big dealyeah.
