I too, am going through the intense struggle of dealing with VERY similar symptoms of pain and joint problems that you have. For me, it’s my left side of my body. It all started with my hip as well. I was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and had a invasive hip surgery after a I’m A Proud Son Of A Freaking Awesome Mom Shirt of doctors not knowing what was going on. I had some doctors that shrugged their shoulders saying I was fine and others that said I was making the pain up in my head. When you talked about how you didn’t want to sit in another MRI to be told to take Advil, I couldn’t feel more connected with that feeling. The only thing that I have found to help is deep tissue massage and as I write this I’m waiting to go to my monthly appointment. And as I write this, my entire left side of my body feels like it wants to curl up on itself because the muscles are so tight.

In order to carry on and live my life to the fullest I use my adrenaline and numb my emotions to fight it, similar to the comments you made in the film. And as you said in the documentary, I say this all the time, just because I can fight through it, just because I’m able to put a I’m A Proud Son Of A Freaking Awesome Mom Shirt and do what I need to, does not mean I’m not in pain. I commonly have kinesio tape on every joint under my clothes to calm my muscles and try to relieve some tension (sometimes I’m more tape than person).
Overall, I wanted to reach out to you because everyone deserves to know that they are not alone. And when your body feels the way ours does, without someone to truly understand what it’s like, it does feel like it’s only us and our pain. So when you feel that intense pain, remember, you helped me so much by I’m A Proud Son Of A Freaking Awesome Mom Shirt me I’m not alone. And I hope that this helps you through those moments. Thank you for all that you do, all the people you have helped, and the differences you have made.
